The Abbey Road Institute Johannesburg Class of 2023 recently embarked on an unforgettable trip to London for the Global Graduation Ceremony 2024. This remarkable event brought together students from our sister schools in London, Sydney, Amsterdam, Miami, and Paris, offering a unique opportunity to celebrate, learn, and connect.

Global Graduation Ceremony 2024 at Abbey Road Studios
The trip began with the prestigious Global Graduation Ceremony 2024, hosted at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. This historic venue, famous for its association with The Beatles and countless other music legends, provided a fitting backdrop for our graduates to celebrate their achievements. The ceremony was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for music.
Ilse Mazzone shared her awe-inspiring experience:
“Graduation day was surreal. Walking through the gates and up those iconic stairs, surrounded by top talents from institutions worldwide, was unforgettable. The legendary Studio 1, adorned for the occasion, set the perfect scene. Then, completely out of the blue, Sir Paul McCartney appeared, delivering a speech and presenting an award. Standing on that stage to receive my diploma was a dream come true.”
A Week of Exploration, Workshops, and Learning
Following the graduation ceremony, the students participated in an exciting series of workshops held over two days at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and the renowned Angel Studios. These workshops provided our students with hands-on experiences, guided by industry experts who shared their invaluable knowledge and insights. The students delved into various aspects of music production and sound engineering, honing their skills and broadening their understanding of the industry.
Ilse reflected on this invaluable experience:
“The next two days were packed with workshops and collaborations. Being in the control room with Grammy Award-winning audio engineers was an unparalleled experience. I learned more in three days than I ever imagined possible.”
