Global Alumni

You’ve spent your time at one of our schools working hard and immersing yourself in all of the learning and experiences on offer, what next?

Ambitious and motivated, alumni from across our international schools are establishing themselves in the next stages of their careers in the music industry and beyond. They’re working as producers and engineers to undertaking internships and much more. The opportunities are broad, from working in studios, for a range of businesses and startups in the music and cultural sectors to setting up their own initiatives and working freelance, juggling lots of exciting and demanding projects. We’re looking forward to following the future successes of graduates from our new Johannesburg school when our first class finishes in 2021!

After completing their studies our future Johannesburg graduates will join a global alumni Abbey Road network including all of our alumni as well as our industry friends. This extended family are from different backgrounds and with different skill sets, they progress onto a range of careers. Brought together at the end of their study for the global graduation ceremony there are many opportunities for future collaboration and partnerships.

Clara Blanchet, alias Klaar, est diplômée d’Abbey Road Institute Paris en 2018.

Clara Blanchet est une jeune auteure, compositrice et interprète française née à Paris. D’abord résolument moderne, son style s’inscrit entre pop et rock. En effet, ses influences musicales vont de la variété au folk-rock, en passant par la musique électronique et le hip-hop. Fort de son premier single “Baise-main” elle a notamment remporté les KR Découvertes 2018. A la suite de cette récompense, KR a organisé un concert intégralement retransmis en streaming. Clara a ensuite collaboré avec la productrice Sylvia Massy pour une nouvelle vision du single “Baise-main”.

Charlotte Adelle

Engineer and Producer at Universal Music

Charlotte Adelle graduated from Abbey Road Institute Melbourne in 2017 and has now established herself as a standout vocal producer, producer and songwriter on the rise. In early 2018, she started to work at Studios 301 alongside senior engineer Simon Cohen (Justin Bieber, Starley, Thelma Plum, Illy) as his vocal assistant.

In a recent Alumni interview, Charlotte said “If you have a good can-do attitude… then you can achieve anything.” That attitude has shone through and supported her advances at 301. She collaborates with local Sydney artists as a writer, producer and engineer. Charlotte is using her platform to encourage other young people in her field to create a strong and safe community.

When she’s not collaborating with incredible Australian artists, she’s working on her own material as a singer/songwriter. She records her stunning voice and publishes the videos on Youtube and Instagram. Consequently, she is well on her way to becoming a name in the Australian music scene.

Vocal Producer & Recording Engineer

Ramera Abraham is a London-based vocal producer, recording engineer, and songwriter. Having spent her younger years studying music in the Philippines, Abraham is now classically trained in piano, vocals, and drums. After completing her undergraduate degree in Canada, the multi-faceted created moved to London in 2017 to study our Advanced Diploma in Sound Engineering and Music Production course at Abbey Road Institute.

Upon graduating from the Institute, Abraham earned an engineering residency at Spotify’s Noteable studio, under the mentorship of Berklee College of Music. It was there that she dealt with daily studio operations and delved into the world of vocal production and engineering. After her Spotify residency, Abraham became a runner and then assistant engineer at Metropolis Studios, where she assisted on several projects. Including: Little Mix’s last two albums, Grammy-nominated musical theatre album “Cinderella” with Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ album, Carnage.

Abraham has since progressed into a freelance role, primarily at music distribution and artist services company, Platoon. Some of her biggest career highlights include working with Saint Harison, TianaMajor9, RAYE, Luz, Ms Banks, Henry Moodie, Kamille, and Matt Taylor. She was also included in SheSaid.So’s Alternative Power 100 List 2021 as one to watch, and is the Music Producers Guild’s Vocal Producer of the Year 2023.

Abraham has also taught several vocal production masterclasses with MPW, ICMP, University of Winchester, and at her alma mater, Abbey Road Institute. She has been creating vocal arrangements and writing harmonies from a very young age and has been in the professional recording industry for nearly six years. Mix Engineer & Sound Editor at Galaxy Studios

Fabian Brummel went straight to Galaxy Studios in Belgium for an intensive internship programme after graduating in 2018. He was immediately offered a permanent position at Galaxy as a full time mix engineer and sound editor, even before his internship was up. As a result, Fabian is currently working mainly in postproduction for some big movie projects.
In his own time he loves composing and is currently working on a couple of new music projects.

“From the moment I entered Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam it took me a total of 5 minutes to realise that I came to the right place. It has been one of the best experiences, meeting new friends for life from all over the world. You learn so much in just 1 year in this incredible environment, which has to be felt to be understood.”

Stéphanie Ung

Stéphanie Ung completed her training at Abbey Road Institute Paris in 2019. Before studying with us 
Stéphanie undertook classical training at the Paris Conservatory where she learned the violin. 
She then became interested in writing and composition which allowed her to discover and explore electronic 
music. It was her interest in this genre that encouraged her to pursue her studies at Abbey Road Institute Paris 
where she developed skills in sound engineering and music production. 

Within two months of obtaining her diploma Stéphanie secured an internship at Coppélia Studios. The following 
month, she was hired as an assistant and worked on sessions with Youv Eee, 7 Jaws, Yseult, Kungs, 
Ben l’oncle Soul and has begun to do sessions as a sound engineer where she has recorded 
artist Laetitia Bay.

Léo Chupin

Léo Chupin

Recording & Mixing Engineer

Léo Chupine trained at Abbey Road Institute Paris from January to December 2018. Following his graduation 
he first became an Assistant Engineer at the Studio de Meudon. This studio is particularly well known for 
providing two exceptional concert pianos for recording - a Steinway and a Fazioli. 
Léo Chupin then started work as a freelance sound engineer following his first sessions at the 
Studio de Meudon. He's had great recognition for his work and his innovative approach. In the second half 
of 2019, KR magazine selected him to be one of the "10 emeritus sound engineers" who have new ideas 
about the industry. The article was published in the special issue winter 2019-2020 edition.

The curriculum is fantastic, extremely comprehensive, contemporary and relevant to today’s industry.
